Tu B'Av (the 15th of Av) is one of the happiest and most meaningful days on the Jewish calendar—a day of blessing, renewal, and new beginnings. It is also the last halachicopportunity to plant many types of fruit trees in Israel before Rosh Hashanah. Trees planted now can count as Year One of orlah—saving nearly a full year of labor, water, and cost.

That's why farmers and communities throughout Israel are racing to get thousands of fruit trees into the ground before the Tu B'Av deadline. This year alone we've received requests from dozens of communities across Yehuda and the Shomron (Judea and Samaria), the Jordan Valley, the Galil, the Negev, and the Gaza border—all asking for help planting orchards, vineyards, and community gardens.

Every fruit tree strengthens the Land of Israel, supports our farmers, fulfills precious מצוות התלויות בארץ, and helps Jewish communities grow deeper roots for generations to

come.
