The HANACHAL RESIDENCES project in Yerushalayim has reached a major milestone with the approval of excavation and shoring permits, a significant step that marks the transition from planning and vision to actual work on site.

Developed by the Meir Cohen Group, the project sits near Ramat Eshkol, in the scenic area of Nahal Tzofim. It’s a location that offers something not so easy to find in Yerushalayim today: a quieter, more open setting, while still being close to established neighborhoods and the city’s main hubs.

The plan is for a full neighborhood—around 372 homes—built with community living in mind. That includes green spaces, walking and biking paths, a central park, and everyday conveniences right nearby. There are also plans for shuls, a mikvah, play areas for children, and spaces designed for families to live comfortably and grow. Access to the light rail will make getting around the city easier as well.

But what’s really turning heads is the level of interest the project has already seen.

Even before permits were in place, 50+ apartments were sold—adding up to roughly 350 million shekel. That kind of response, this early on, says a lot.

The buys all come from places such as Lakewood, Monsey, Flatbush, and the Five Towns. Some families didn’t just buy one unit, but more than one. That kind of commitment usually reflects a strong sense of confidence—not just in the investment, but in the vision of what this Hanachal Residences can become.

As the project begins moving from plans to actual construction, it’s clear that HaNachal Residences is already on the radar for many families looking toward their future in Eretz Yisroel.
